Birthright walkouts. The Nation-State Law. Broken promises over the Western Wall. These are just a few of the many tension points in Israel-Diaspora relations over the past year. Is this intra-Jewish tension a new status quo? This session, moderated by Dr. Steven Bayme, AJC Director of Contemporary Jewish Life features Ambassador Dani Dayan, Israel’s Consul General to New York; Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove of Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, Dan Feferman of the Jewish People Policy Institute in Jerusalem, and Abigail Pogrebin author of My Jewish Year: 18 Holidays, One Wondering Jew. This session was introduced by Bobby Lapin, Chair of AJC's Contemporary Jewish Life.
