Interview KAN Israel National Radio
The day after US President Donald Trump announced the long awaited peace plan, I was interviewed by Arieh O'Sullivan on KAN Israel National Radio in English on their prime-time evening news program. I point out that the deal reflects changing geopolitical realities that are entirely in Israel's favor. I further point out that since the Palestinians are unlikely to cooperate or provide a counter-offer, the most important achievement that can be obtained is that it could shift the regional and global consensus in Israel's favor on what "we all know a two-state solution will look like". Lastly, I suggest that Israel will have to navigate the gap between what it "can do" with the current White House's support and what it "should do" with an eye to future repercussions - domestically, regionally and internationally.
